Bad Day Down

Bio

Since late 2003, Bad Day Down have been ripping out passionate, politically and socially charged melodic hardcore punk songs. Comprising of a Yank, a Pom and two Aussies, BDD boast an international flavour, mixed with a distinct local sound that’s churned out at a blistering pace leaving you felt like you’ve been hit by a road train.

BDDs debut album, “…Biting The Hand That Feeds” was one of only two albums from Brisbane that made it into the top 40 best punk albums of the year (as voted by Short.Fast.Loud listeners) on Triple J in 2005 and were described by Troy Destroy (Brisbane ‘scene’ reporter and 4ZzZ announcer) as “the best Queensland release of the year.” On top of that, Triple J announcer Stu Harvey had to make his annual top 10 a top 11 – telling listeners that he “couldn’t stop listening to it!”

Bringing honest-as-the-day-is-long punk into a scene all too full of posers and shit talkers, BDD released their first PEE Records offering in late 2006 (“If This Is How It Has To Be”) to critical acclaim. Bad Day Down followed up with a four show stint on the 2007 NOFX Australian tour.

They are currently writing for album number three due out in 2009.

No shows booked at the moment.
